James Herbert was one of those authors who caught the dark imagination of so many readers.  His novels maintained such an all-British charm about them.  Even when huge black rats were ripping to shreds countless members of the public, it still felt so very British.

That’s one of the things I love about British author Richard Ayre’s work.  He’s kept to his roots.  His novels stand true to their setting, and from that, they deliver an honest-to-god chilling tale.

Back in September Ayre released his second full length novel – ‘Point Of Contact’ (2016).  It’s a sci-fi chiller awash with adrenaline-pumping action.  It’s a novel I’ve been looking forward to reading since its publication.  And I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed.
