James Herbert left behind one hell of a legacy.  His novels had such an impact upon the world of horror.  Left such an impression upon so many of us.  God alone knows how many authors have been (and will continue to be) influenced by the great man’s writing.

One such writer is undoubtedly British author Joseph Freeman.  His novel ‘The Cold Heart Of Summer’ (2013) is practically a homage to Herbert’s work.  It’s a dark and unnerving vision of cosmic horror set in a quintessentially British coastal town.  And it’s a read that’ll leave you feeling so very, very cold…
