It’s no secret that here at DLS HQ there’s a particular love for good pulp horror novels.  Guy N Smith is the undisputed master of such tales.  Utterly uncompromising, and packed full of gratuitous violence, visceral gore, and bucket loads of bloodshed.

And to find a new author whose delivering all such outlandish treats - pulp horror exactly like those from the 70s and 80s – it’s enough to make you want to dust off your giant killer crab outfit and go out on a bloodthirsty rampage.

The man that’s caused this giddy celebration at DLS Central is the author J.R. Park.  A full in-depth review of Park’s second novel, a pulpish slasher entitled ‘Punch’ (2014), is now up on DLS Reviews.

Park’s work reads like he’s a reincarnation of (the still very much alive I might add) Guy N Smith.  If you like Guy N Smith’s work then you absolutely have to pick up some of Park’s offerings.  Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

As I said - packed full of gratuitous violence, visceral gore, and bucket loads of bloodshed.  That’s the way to do it!
