I returned to the UK yesterday having spent the last fifteen days in the US on holiday with my wife and kids. Whilst we were away there wasn’t much of an opportunity to plough through books. However, whilst the family watched films during the flights either way, I was able to immerse myself in Duncan Ralston’s latest offering – ‘Salvage’ (2015).
It's a dark and oppressive ghost story with a thick fog of mystery smothering the character-driven storyline. It’s one of those stories that’s absolutely perfect for the cold, dark winter nights ahead.
