Having spent the last two weeks in Tenerife, relaxing in the sun, drinking local lager from frosted glasses and eating way too much food, it was sadly time to return to DLS HQ in a rather grey and wet Wales.

Whilst I was away I had chance to churn through South African author Deon Meyer’s epic post-apocalyptic novel ‘Fever’ (2017).  And my god was the book one hell of a read.  Think Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’ (1978) mixed with John Christopher’s ‘The Death Of Grass’ (1956), only with much, much more emphasis on all the political, social and environmental elements involved with rebuilding a community following the near annihilation of mankind.

I loved this novel.  Really, really loved it.  And I’m pretty sure you will too…
