So, DLS Reviews has officially been online for one whole year now.  A years’ worth of providing in-depth dissections of horror, post-apocalyptic and dark fiction novels.

It’s been a great year.  I’ve read and reviewed some incredible titles over the course of those twelve months.  I’ve had the chance to interview three incredibly talented authors, all of whom I’m a big fan of (David Moody, Guy N Smith and Kit Power).  I’ve had two pieces of pieces of short fiction offered to DLS Reviews for exclusive use on the website (Adrian Chamberlin and Cameron Suey).  I’ve made some superb contacts with publishers and independent authors.  And I’ve discovered some new and exciting authors and publishers along the way.

I’ve just been looking back through the (currently somewhat clunky I have to admit) Blog pages on the website.  And quite frankly I’m amazed at how much has gone up on the site over just one year.  I can’t help but think if this is after just one year, imagine how many titles will be on the site come 10 years down the track!

So anyway, I thought I’d take this opportunity to thank some of the individuals who have really helped with making DLS Reviews what it is, who have shown support and helped spread the word about the site whilst it was in its infancy.

A huge thanks goes out to (in no particular order):

Adrian Chamberlin, David Moody, Wayne Simmons, Kit Power, Phil Sloman, Guy N Smith, Tim Dry, Tristan Thorne, Greg James, Simon Marshall-Jones, Sandra Kasturi, Graeme Reynolds, Dean M Drinkel, Rich Hawkins, Barbie Wildem Cameron Suey, Alex Davis, Christopher Teague and Theresa Derwin.

A further thank you goes out to everyone who’s come to the site and taken some interest in the reviews.  And a big thank you to everyone who has purchased titles from Amazon via the links at the bottom of the reviews.  Doing this has helped finance the costs of hosting the site.

And a final thank you needs to be said to my wonderful wife, Jennifer Hall, who has put up with me hiding away in the study for hours on end to write reviews and deal with the admin of the site.  Her patience and tolerance has allowed me to produce a website that I’m incredibly proud of.

So there we have it.  DLS Reviews is now a year old and it’s going strong.  And I have to say, I’m pretty darn excited to see what year two has to offer…
