NEW REVIEW: Graeme Reynolds - High Moor (2011)

Posted by Chris Hall on Sunday, April 17, 2016, In : New Review
Werewolf novels are few and far between these days.  In fact, only a mere handful have previously come under the scalpel over at DLS HQ.  It’s not a conscious decision.  It’s just that there aren’t all that many werewolf novels being written nowadays.

However, with his signature ‘High Moor Trilogy’ author Graeme Reynolds has not only redefined the werewolf legend - creating a whole new mythos as he goes - but he’s also shown the ferocious potential in this long-forgotten beast.

NEW REVIEW: John Leahy - Unity (2016)

Posted by Chris Hall on Friday, April 1, 2016, In : New Review
DLS Reviews and post-apocalyptic fiction go together like beer and B-Movies on a Friday night (incidentally something I plan to crack on with as soon as this review’s up).

With his latest novel ‘Unity’ (2016) Irish author John Leahy offers up his own unique vision of the end of mankind.  And it ticks absolutely all the boxes.

It’s not often you get a perfect score on DLS.  To see a full ten skulls lined up in a nice neat row is a once in a blue moon affair.  But here we have one.

“Powe...
